If you follow this blog, you’ve become aware of The Ribbon’s excellent and creative menus they pull together for a majority of holidays throughout the year. I’d go so far as to say you should look into The Ribbon’s plans first before you confirm ANY holiday dining outings. With all of the proposed rules and regulation being “imposed” on us all for the upcoming holiday, The Ribbon has gone the extra mile to ensure you’ll have a Happy Thanksgiving whether you dine at the restaurant or at home. Remember that line in Jerry McGuire - “You had me at hello” - well, the Oktoberfest / Halloween menu at The Ribbon (located at 20 W. 72nd St.on the UWS) “had me” at the “hello” of the first dish. Put a warm, soft pretzel on my plate and I’m yours for the rest of the evening. There are very few places that can bring back the taste of old New York. Tucked away in the cozy embrace of Central Park, Tavern on the Green stands out as a wonderful fantasy that takes you back in time with its appearance, atmosphere and impeccable service. No doubt, this NYC restaurant is definitely one of a kind!

High-end steakhouses are part of the fabric and soul of NYC. Nearly every Steakhouse outside of NYC has been inspired by our local legends to some degree. There are many famous steakhouses here, which makes competition stiff and requires owners and their staff to provide a 110% service and satisfaction level at all times. Since its foundation in 1993, Da Nico has been a staple of the New York community. This hidden gen tucked away along Little Italy’s Mulberry Street and has have served countless native New Yorker's including many celebrities, sports heroes and politicians.

Tucked away in Murray Hill along E. 38th is one of New York City’s longest standing and most loved Italian dining destinations. Rossini’s Italian Restaurant has featured the same core menu and stellar service since it opened in 1978. The Northern Italian recipes served here today are the same recipes used by the original owner Romano Bernaz.

What a fabulous dinner we had for Valentine's Day this year! For our annual outing we chose The Ribbon in Midtown and what a treat it was indeed!

Tucked away along a busy block of Mulberry Street is one of the city’s quiet gems of Italian dining. Paesano's of Little Italy is still making exquisite but simple Italian dishes here the same way they did when the restaurant first opened. Paesano's has been a fixture of Little Italy since 1911 and is the original red sauce Italian restaurant.

Restaurant week began for me at The Ribbon on West 44th Street. One of two venues with the same name (the other is off Central Park on West 72nd Street), The Ribbon is a roomy, comfy spot ensconced in the middle of the theater district.
