If you follow this blog, you’ve become aware of The Ribbon’s excellent and creative menus they pull together for a majority of holidays throughout the year. I’d go so far as to say you should look into The Ribbon’s plans first before you confirm ANY holiday dining outings. With all of the proposed rules and regulation being “imposed” on us all for the upcoming holiday, The Ribbon has gone the extra mile to ensure you’ll have a Happy Thanksgiving whether you dine at the restaurant or at home. We’ve had some exceptional holiday themed meals here including Halloween and Valentine’s Day to name only two!

Of course, The Ribbon is going to be offering a special Thanksgiving menu for next week’s festivities. And, as usual, the menu has been carefully planned and is full of the surprises we’re used to. Thanksgiving dinner packages are available for indoor and outdoor dining as well as take out and delivery. These options set the stage for a perfect Thanksgiving regardless of your preference of dining environs.

Thanksgiving at the Ribbon is a special holiday indeed, even during the time of the pandemic. The special Thanksgiving menu is complete with appropriate appetizers, entrees and desert along with the aptly named and created mule.

The two appetizers offered include a Treviso and Endive salad, red wine poached pears, blue cheese and candies pecans. Or a stuffed butternut squash with quinoa, goat cheese, arugula, pomegranate seeds and pecans. Thanksgiving indeed!

This year, there are three primary choices for a main course. The most obvious is the roast turkey, with lemon, tyme, after marinating for roughly 48 hours and then being roasted and rotisserie’d for at least six. It was served with a combination of mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and roast squash with stuffing and was completely yummy. (Two kinds of potatoes! Now that’s what I call living large!)

There are two other major choices of entrée. The first is ham, cured with a mixture of rosemary, garlic, tyme, sea salt and peppers. It’s also served with the same side dishes as the turkey: the potatoes, squash, and stuffing.

The third option is the stuffing, mashed and sweet potatoes alongside a Thanksgiving prepared Atlantic Salmon. I don’t know about you, but it’s a hard choosing between the three! Too bad Thanksgiving doesn’t come more than once a year.

To bring the meal to a smooth and delightful finish you can choose from a pumpkin bread pudding with vanilla anglaise, cinnamon ice cream and pecans or pecan pie with maple ice cream. Visions of fall in NYC are now complete!

The prices are friendly too as the Two Person dinner package is $64.95 and a Four Person dinner package is only $129.95. These are a sure bet and guaranteed to make your Thanksgiving meal a memorable event and just maybe the best thing that’s happened in 2020…at least until they unveil The Ribbon Christmas Menu!
