Happy 101st birthday to the King himself, Nathaniel Adams Cole, born this day in Montgomery Alabama, 1919. He was born on St. Patrick’s Day, and throughout his life, he always attributed his remarkable career to “the luck o’ the Irish” and the shamrock in his pocket.

One of Cole’s greatest living successors is the remarkable, Harlem-based jazz singer Allan Harris. Every year, Allan and his wife Pat throw a party on Nat Cole’s birthday; this year, alas, the current quarantine situation has made such gatherings impossible. However, Allan and Pat are sharing the love on Nat’s birthday by live-streaming Allan’s performance directly here on FB.

Do not miss this unique, one-of-a-kind live stream concert! And, even if you can’t go to your local Irish pub, don’t forget to drink a toast to the King on his 101st birthday!
