Ann Kittredge:
“An Evening of Ahrens & Flaherty -- Fancy Meeting You Here!”
Feinstein’s / 54 Below
254 West 54th St
Tuesday September 24

Ann Kittredge is a first class musical theater leading lady, who has been heard many times at all-star shows around New York (including those produced by the APSS, American Popular Song Society) and won numerous cabaret awards. If, like me, you’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to catch one of her one-woman shows, this evening, in celebration of Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (words), should be a perfect opportunity - Especially, if, also, like me, you can never get enough of their music. (The team's work on Ragtime alone qualifies them, in my humble opinion, as Broadway hall-of-famers.) Ms. Kittredge takes “Wheels of a Dream” (From Ragtime, of course) and makes it, for once, more personal than anthemic, and is suitably saucy on “Speaking French” (from Lucky Stiff). Looking forward to this one.
With Alex Rybeck (piano) & Tom Hubbard (bass). Directed by Andrea Marcovicci.
