Although the holidays are behind us, the new year is just getting started and 2017 promises to bring plenty of excitement to the Big Apple. Here’s a roundup of our top events in New York City for January 2017:

No Pants Subway Ride / Jan. 8th
Hosted by NYC-based comedy collective Improv Everywhere, everyone is invited to be a part of the 16th Annual No Pants Subway Ride, which will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 at seven meeting points all over New York City.

New York Jewish Film Festival / Jan. 11-24th
Presenting a global survey of innovative and provocative movies focusing on the Jewish experience returns to New York City for the 26th time. Presented by the Jewish Museum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the films explore the diversity of the Jewish experience around the world.

Sleepover at the Museum of Natural History / Jan. 14, 21, 27
For just a few nights every year, the Museum of Natural History in New York City invites guests to enjoy a sleepover, just like the movie “Night at the Museum!” Evening and morning snacks are included, along with cots to sleep on, and participants get to experience a flashlight fossilized fact-finding mission, see live animals, go on a private museum tour and more.

Central Park Winter Jam 2017 / Jan. 28
Come to the Manhattan Bandshell area in Central Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 to experience New York City’s “Ultimate Snow Day.” This free winter sports festival is designed to appeal to participants of all ages and will include arctic golf, the Lake Placid snow field, snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding, the Taste NY Winter Market and sledding.

Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park / Thru March 5th
Head over to the Winter Village at Bryant Park to experience wintertime in NYC at its finest. Offering ice skating from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, as well as food and drinks at the new rink-side eatery Public Fare, this pop-up village has become a New York City favorite.

Francis Picabia: Our Heads Are Round so Our Thoughts Can Change Direction / Thru March 19th
View a comprehensive survey of prolific modern artist Francis Picabia in the first U.S. exhibit to chart his entire career. Hosted by the Museum of Modern Art, the show displays the artist’s ever-evolving style with around 200 pieces on display.

Rink at Rockefeller Center / Thru April 16th
The holidays might be over, but that doesn’t mean winter is! You have until mid-April to experience the magic of the Rink at Rockefeller Center, which remains one of New York City’s most time-honored wintertime traditions.
