There are very few things, if any, which can outshine the nightlife in NYC. We are surrounded by a variety of spots we would like to be seen at, places to go and mingle, socialize or network and of course there are always those areas we go to, in hopes of meeting someone special. Being in New York, all of these choices are close at hand, convenient and diametrically different.

Nevertheless, there is one facet of entertainment one must try at least once while in New York. The only thing that would be better than a party is most definitely a party on a boat! In this case I am specifically referring to a Hornblower cruise!

If I was to think of a perfect afternoon with friends, my imagination would certainly be inclined to a setting situated on a 3 level boat with an outside deck; filled with people dancing and enjoying the end of the summer in a light breeze as well as the drinks and the music. The beauty of the cruise lies in the fact that it works for everybody, regardless of the crowd, group or age! Everything is very casual in a fresh metropolitan way. The whole experience is based on the colorful simplicity of just having fun.

There are several bars throughout the floors including a buffet. I cannot even do justice trying to explain the beautiful views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island as well as the city panorama. Any cruise you choose is going to provide a one of a kind tour of the city from a different perspective. It definitely has a certain ‘summerish’ flair to it that even us locals can deeply appreciate.

Just as wearing black, regardless of the weather, being on an open deck in a hot day is always a good idea. We should take advantage of as many sunny days we have left and this is one of the most enjoyable ways to do so! It is definitely an affair to remember!
